Emissions Delete and DEF Gauge Adjustment: Only the ECM Needs Programming

October 26, 2026

Previously, we had to program several vehicle ECUs: the engine control module (ECM) through the tuning adapter and other ECUs to keep the DEF gauge from staying at empty.

Now, programming the ECM alone through the tuning adapter handles both jobs: the emissions systems are disabled, and the DEF gauge reads between 40% and 90%. For the tuning solutions listed in the table below, no additional connection to the vehicle is needed.

Is the vehicle far away? That’s no longer a problem. The ECM can be flashed on the bench (if it has already been removed). Depending on the ECM, you’ll need either the VLOMINGO adapter (for TRW EMS) or the RAZDOLBOSCH adapter (Bosch ECM 4.x).

Please note: The aftertreatment control module (ACM) must be disconnected before reconnecting the ECM to the vehicle.

We handle the software headaches so you don’t have to.
