"Plug & Drive" Capabilities

Many emulator manufacturers advertise DPF/SCR systems as "plug & drive" solutions, promising instant and easy connection without additional setup. However, this is not always the case. After physically connecting the emulator to the truck's system, several settings must be performed for the device to work correctly. These settings include diagnostics and testing, as well as possible firmware updates.

To perform these settings, you will need a diagnostic cable that supports the RP1210 protocol and a Windows laptop with installed software, such as Mochester 4 (M4 App) from DrunkLab.

The use of the VILKUS-62 emulators and similar devices leads to the deactivation of the DPF system, including the filter regeneration function. This means that the DPF filter is no longer cleaned of accumulated soot particles, which can cause it to become clogged and negatively affect the engine's performance. Therefore, the DPF filter should be removed physically. We also strongly recommend bypassing the SCR filter or removing it.
