What is SCR/DEF/AdBlue Delete?

How an SCR/DEF Delete Works

An SCR/DEF delete is gaining popularity that involves reprogramming an ECM. SCR systems are used in the DEF to control NOx emissions. SCR systems work by introducing DEF to the exhaust and reacting with the gases to the SCR catalyst. For the SCR systems to function, several components are required, such as sensors, pumps, modules, and DEF injectors. Over time these components can cause errors, warnings, and costly engine derating.

SCR/DEF reprogramming disables the ECM’s protective measures and management systems. This creates a diagnostic emissions control void, eliminating SCR related fault codes, warnings, derating, and allows for engine use in more demanding operations.
