What is DPF Delete?

How a DPF Delete Works

A DPF delete involves an ECM reprogramming to remove the DPF controls and management software. The DPF is implemented to soot and trap diesel particulates. DPFs can become increasingly more restricted and less effective over time which leads to engine derates and excessive downtime. Once the DPF controls are removed from the ECM, system events like regeneration and monitoring of filter loading are canceled, thus allowing a steady exhaust system and engine performance.
