Applicability

This remote tuning service is designed for Cummins ISLe 8.9L and 9.0L engines equipped with CM2150 and CM850 ECM platforms that require an SCR delete.

When is the service needed?

If the cost of fixing your truck’s emission systems is getting too expensive, our remote tuning service may be the perfect solution.

Derates, loss of power, poor fuel economy, and costly downtime that keeps your truck off the road are often caused by a failing SCR system.

Our remote tuning service solves these problems by professionally deleting the SCR system through ECU software reprogramming. This eliminates some of the most common emissions-related failures and significantly lowers the ongoing maintenance costs associated with factory emission equipment.

And if you’d rather get ahead of the problem before it starts — this service is for you too. Proactively deleting the SCR system before it fails means you’ll never have to deal with those expensive repair bills in the first place.

Once tuned, your truck will run without DEF system faults, repeated sensor failures, or loss of performance from exhaust restrictions. The result is a more dependable truck with less downtime and fewer disruptions.

Guides & Instructions

Tuning results

  • No SCR — related fault codes
  • No torque reduction
  • No warning lamps on the dashboard (Note: AdBlue level lamp may be beyond engine responsibility)
  • FREE HP upgrade to the maximum manufacturer setting for this CPL (Critical Parts List) and the vehicle specification
  • No unrelated parameters will be changed

Required hardware changes after tuning

Failure to complete these steps may result in fault codes, reduced performance, or engine damage.

  • Unplug all SCR system sensors

Strongly recommended (for best reliability and performance):

  • Bypass or completely remove the SCR cans

Warranty Terms and Conditions

This service is covered by the D3LW™ Program — DrunkLab Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Warranty cases are resolved in priority order. The policy is “fix or return,” which means a full refund if it is impossible to fix the problem immediately.

Warranty cases are:

  • SCR — related fault code appears during truck usage period
  • SCR — related message is shown on the display
  • Torque derate caused by SCR fault codes

Non — warranty cases are:

  • ECU replacement (different ECU serial numbers detected than those stored into database during reprogramming)
  • Software update campaign performed (OEM software detected)
  • Copyright violation — tampering, cracking, or readout attempts detected (different fingerprint stored in the ECU)

Additional Information

This is a remote ECU update that essentially tells your engine it no longer needs the SCR/DEF system or NOx sensors to function. We strip away those complicated emissions dependencies so the computer can focus entirely on power and reliability rather than glitchy sensor data. It’s a straightforward way to stop those random derates and keep your equipment running without the constant headache of emissions-related downtime.

This service is built specifically for the Cummins ISLe 8.9 and 9.0. Since it's done remotely, you don't have to haul your equipment anywhere. We focus on the "weak links"—those parts of the emissions setup that tend to fail first and cost the most to keep fixing.

Out on the job—whether you’re running a bus, a truck, or heavy machinery—the SCR system is almost always the first thing to act up. You’ll get a glitchy DEF sensor, a dosing pump that misreads fluid quality, or a NOx sensor that just gives up. The second that happens, the ECU panics. It throws a fault code, cuts your power, and forces the machine into "limp mode" right in the middle of a shift. What should be a minor sensor issue ends up causing days of downtime and expensive shop bills.

Once we’ve updated the ECU, the engine stops waiting for those signals. It doesn't care what the NOx levels are or how much DEF is in the tank. The result is a much more stable, predictable engine that just does its job without the drama.

Most of our clients notice the difference immediately. No more random "check engine" lights for emissions, no more surprise derates, and a lot less stress for the driver. For fleet owners, it’s all about consistency—keeping the wheels turning without constant interruptions.

Key Benefits:

  • Turns off SCR (DEF / AdBlue) and NOx control logic
  • Eliminates DEF dosing errors and quality-related warnings
  • Reduces NOx sensor failures and replacement costs
  • Helps prevent limp mode and unexpected power limits
  • Makes engine behavior more stable under load
  • Reduces downtime and emissions-related repair bills
  • Keeps diagnostics simple and usable
  • Performance tuning available
